FEBRUARY 2012
NOTES FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESKUPDATE - MORNING MEETING OF FRIDAY, FEB 24, CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
Greetings!
We are off to a great start! Lots of new things are going on in our chapter! I’m very excited about both of the projects we are beginning.
Have you ever noticed how often you start something? That would account for the number of UFOs in our individual stashes! I am guilty of “start-i-tis”! I want to try everything, or stitch something exciting, or just get into something new.
How about the flip side? How do you feel when you finish something? I recently finished a project started in May 2011. What a sense of accomplishment! It is a fairly large piece, and many of you have seen it. You have watched my deal with my frustration over this project. At one point I actually considered giving up on stitching altogether, selling everything, and taking up a whole new sport!

Now that it is stitched and ready to go to the framers, it is time to get out something else. I have to admit my next project is going to be something smaller. That’s the lovely part of stitching, there are so many choices. I’ll spread out my UFOs and see which one tweaks my interest, or maybe go into the stash, and randomly pick something. It is exciting to start a new project and a real sense of achievement when it’s finished. Think I’ll go dig in the stash and see what looks interesting!
Until next month,Happy Stitching!
Carolyn
