Notes from the President's Desk
Happy Spring Stitchers!
Recently most all conversations are about the weather! Yes, it is wonderful! Yes, it is way toooooo soon for 80 degree weather, and yes, we know Mother Nature can be quite fickle! I am so happy to be able to start wearing the lighter, brighter colors of spring! The change makes a big difference in many areas.
Do you find that your stitching is seasonal? It must be something like going without sunshine for too long. I like to work on a variety of pieces and have noticed that lately that the pieces of stitching I’m working on are lighter and brighter. During the winter months, I tend to stitch projects that have darker colors. Samplers, some holiday items, and small pictures are all a bit more drab. Not so with the last item I worked on; the small sampler is being done with brighter, more cheerful colors.
As hot as it has been these past few weeks, I’m wondering what July and August will be like. I am sure that my stitching will take a different turn…perhaps I’ll work on something smaller, or continue working on an assortment of pieces in the comfort of air conditioning!
Have a great time stitching…no matter what you are working on!
